The AmmoBox
Howdy all! I thought this could be an interesting excersize. Just a bit of a place to rant and rave over current (or past) events. Think of it as a soapbox in the town square. But, since soapboxes are terribly overused, this is an ammobox! I don't want to be the only one to post, so I have been sending invitations to people I think would have some interesting opinions. Feel free to comment.

Hmm... Sounds like some folks have fallen under the influence of the absolute power dream drug. It's a phenomenon that has happened a bunch of times before, and you know what? It ALWAYS leads to utter destruction in the end, not only for the individual or his/her successors, but usually for a lot of people around them. In the case of political leaders, whole nations fall. This is simply unacceptable. As distasteful as politics is to me, this kind of thing makes me want to get involved if for no other reason than to breathe a breath of sanity into the whole mess.
What a load of fetid dingo’s kidneys. That bill has sucked from its inception, but it’s getting worse. It’ll grow more and more out of control until it self implodes, leaving a law vacuum that’ll be worse than if it never came into fruition in the first place. Such lack of foresight is the result of good intentions leading to horrible results. For further examples, please cf., oh, anything done by Jimmy Carter since he entered politics. Nice, moral man with good intentions. Catastrophic results from his benevolent actions.
